Boneless Spare Ribs w/Homemade BBQ Sauce
Makes approx. 5-6 Servings
Ingredients
5 lbs, Boneless Spare Ribs
2 (32 oz.) boxes, Veggie Broth
S&P
Homemade BBQ Sauce *Recipe to follow
Instructions
Place a large pot on the stove. Season the ribs with S&P and add them to the pot. Pour the veggie broth over top of the ribs. Make sure the ribs are covered completely with the liquid. If you don’t have enough liquid just add some water or more broth. Turn the heat to high and bring to a boil. Once the liquid starts to boil, turn heat to low, cover the pot with a lid and simmer for 2 hours.
While the ribs are simmering, make the homemade BBQ Sauce. Click here for my homemade recipe: Dee’s Homemade BBQ Sauce
After 2 hours, carefully remove the ribs and place them onto a plate or baking sheet. Using a pastry brush or spoon, cover the ribs on one side with the BBQ Sauce. Turn a grill to medium-high heat and place the ribs onto the grill (sauce side down). Brush more BBQ Sauce on the top side of the ribs. Grill just for a few minutes to get some nice grill marks then turn over to grill the other side. The ribs should already be cooked through so you only want to finish them on your grill for about 3-5 minutes per side. If your grill is too hot or the flames are too high, turn the heat down to avoid burning the ribs.
Remove the ribs from the grill, place them on a platter. Add some extra BBQ Sauce to a ramekin and place on the platter. Everyone can help themselves and take some extra sauce if they like.
Mangia! Enjoy!
