Honey BBQ Boneless Wings
Ingredients
2 Chicken Breasts, boneless & skinless
1 Cup, BBQ Sauce
1/2 Cup, Honey
4 Tablespoons, Butter, melted
1-2 Cups, Buttermilk
1 Cup, All-Purpose Flour
1 Cup, Italian Breadcrumbs
1 Cup, Panko Breadcrumbs
1 Teaspoon, Garlic Powder
2 Eggs
S&P
Instructions
Cut chicken into bite size pieces. Place chicken into a small baking dish or zip lock freezer bag. Pour the buttermilk over the chicken. You want enough buttermilk so that the chicken is completely covered. Place the chicken with buttermilk into the fridge for at least an hour or two.
Setup your breading station:
- Bowl 1: crack eggs into bowl, add S&P and whisk well
- Bowl 2: add flour, S&P and Garlic Powder and mix well
- Bowl 3: add Italian and Panko Breadcrumbs
Preheat oven to 400 Degrees. Spray a baking sheet and set aside. Remove chicken from fridge.
Remove chicken from the buttermilk, dredge each piece into the flour and then the egg and then the breadcrumb. Place chicken onto baking sheet and repeat until all chicken is coated. Place in oven and bake for approx. 15 minutes or until chicken is done.
While the chicken is cooking, make the Honey BBQ Sauce. Melt the butter. In a small bowl, combine the BBQ Sauce, Honey, and add the melted butter. Whisk well to combine ingredients.
Remove chicken from oven and immediately transfer to the bowl with the honey BBQ and toss to coat all your chicken. Transfer to a serving platter.
Mangia! Enjoy!
Notes
If you like to add a little heat to these boneless wings you can add a few dashes of hot sauce to your Honey BBQ Sauce. If you like garlic you can also add some garlic powder to your sauce.
For the BBQ sauce, I went with Sweet Baby Ray’s which is our favorite. You can use your favorite BBQ Sauce in this. I opted for a BBQ sauce that was not sweet. The addition of the honey added just the right amount of sweetness to these wings.
